What are the administrative possibilities of Zhangmen? (Up)
Zhangmen has a full functional build-in administrative suite. With the administrationmodule it's very easy to manage your patient files, treatment details and history and practice data like invoicing and agenda. In Zhangmen you can manage all your patientsfiles. You can enter administrative and medical or acupunctural data like f.e. used points, formulae, advices, nutrition etc. An agenda is of course also available for planning your appointments. You can also print all the wanted data. The administrative part of Zhangmen is specially build for TCM / Acupuncture practices. Bookkeeping an invoicing is also simple in Zhangmen. Zhangmen uses Microsofts Excel for this purpose

How do I get support from Zhangmen? (Up)
Most users don't need any support because the software is extreme userfriendly and easy to understand even for people without much computer experience. Most questions will resolve themselves while using the elaborate Zhangmen help function that is build-in to the software and can be used with the '?' symbol or by pressing F1.
When help is needed however you can always email us or call our helpdesk number between 08:00 am - 08:00 pm (CET), 5 days a week (mo-fr).

What is wrong if some Zhangmen functions don't seem to work properly with Windows? (Up)
If some Zhangmen functions or parts don't seem to work while using Windows then this is probably due to insufficient privileges of your Windows account or the so called UAC. This is actually not a Zhangmen issue but merely a Windows issue. It might occur while installing Zhangmen or using the administrative Zhangmen suite, while making a patients file backup or while deleting patients data from the patients list. Sometimes also an IO error 103 can occur.
You can solve this problem by granting Zhangmen so called administrator privileges. Please follow the instructions below to make this work: Right-click the Zhangmen icon in the Start menu or on your desktop. Find the tab 'Compatibility and then 'Properties'. Check the 'Run this program as Administrator' box.

Is Zhangmen virus, trojan and malware free? (Up)
Yes of course, we absolutely guarantee that. Zhangmen is always monitored on our developing machines by a series of Antivirus products (AVG, MS Defender, McAfee a.o.). While testing and uploading the software we always upload it to the website www.virustotal.com. This way it is scanned by 40+ renowned AV software makers in the world and you can always feel asured that the Zhangmen software is totally safe for using.

Having installation problems: How to avoid them? (Up)
The combination of Zhangmen Username and License key is unique. You really have to enter all the given data correctly otherwise the software will not install. A mismatch between username and licensekey (mostly by mistyping one of the two) will result in not being able to continue the Zhangmen setup.

Zhangmen may have problems with your AntiVirus (AV) software. Parts of Zhangmen will sometimes not install properly while being (unnecessarily) blocked by your AV system. Panda and Avast are infamous for this problem. On Youtube you can get help for temporarily disabling your AV software. F.e. have a look at link for disabling Avast temporarily while installing Zhangmen. Use this link or this link to see how you can add Zhangmen as an exception in Avast AV, so the software starts up real safe and sound.

Can I use Zhangmen data in a NETWORK or Online? (Up)
Yes, you'll have to use the Zhangmen PRO version however to do that. This Zhangmen version makes it possible to use and share your Zhangmen patient data in your netwerk or in the Cloud.
This can be done with Zhangmen patient files, the practice agenda, bookkeeping and documents while sharing them with other team professionals or from different locations.
This can be done using a fysical local network or a Cloud network like OneDrive or Dropbox, or another virtual network like WebDav.

You can also share agendas via your local network, by using Outlook with an Exchange server or by using the build in Zhangmen Lookout agenda which supports network use. You can also use Google Calendar as a central internet agenda in the Cloud. With the Zhangmen network version different users can use the same patients files using f.e. a server or NAS.

For this functions you'll need more than basic understanding and knowledge about networking on computers. To us Zhangmen in a network, we'll assume that you have this knowledge and that you know f.e. how to use 'drive mapping on Windows systems' and how to share data on a network safely. The Zhangmen documentation/manual will provide the needed data to share data on a network. Please ask your system administrator or IT partner to support you while using your network functions.

How do I migrate patient data from one PC to another and how do I make a backup? (Up)
You can do both by using the Zhangmen Backup-Restore function. You'll need a USB stick/drive or other external (Cloud) media.
Migrating patient data goes like this: First make a Backup of your patient data. On the PC containing the actual patient data, start Zhangmen, click in the main menu 'Extra' and 'Backup/Restore'. Click 'Backup' to make a backup. Zhangmen now searches for the folder containing the patient data and asks for the disk and folder to copy them to. Give the name of the disk or USB stick (f.e. E:). Click 'Make Backup' and a backup is being made to the given drive/folder. Then click 'OK'.

After the backup is made please safely remove the media from the old computer and place it in the new one, that is the one the data should be copied to. start Zhangmen, click in the main menu 'Extra' and 'Backup/Restore'. Click 'Restore' to restore the data. Choose the disk and folder containing the back upped data and click the 'Restore' button. Data will now be copied from the given drive and folder to the Zhangmen patients folder. Check the restored data afterwards by restarting Zhangmen and check the patientslist in the Zhangmen administration module.

Copying data can also been done manually:
Zhangmen patient data can be found in the folder c:\ProgramData\Zhangmen. You can copy al the data from this folder to another PC and put them in the same folder there. Check the restored data afterwards by restarting Zhangmen and check the patient list in the Zhangmen administration module.

How do I get updates / upgrades? (Up)
Registered Zhangmen users can get updates and patches for free by using the 'auto-update function' in Zhangmen. For upgrades, after your license period has expired you'll be noticed in the software, by e-mail or by visiting our website. Upgrade costs are lower than the normal listprice for new users.
