Zhangmen first started in 1992 as a DOS software package. As from 1999 Zhangmen software for the modern acupuncturist is available for the Windows Operating System (95 / 98 / ME / NT4 / 2000 / XP / 2003). We've launched the internet enabled 9i version in 2003 which was a major step forward in accessing web based acupuncture databases. The latest Zhangmen version is version 2010 for WIndows 7 (release date Januari 2010). We'll keep you informed about new developments on this website so please check it frequently. Below you'll see some screen-shots of the last English version of Zhangmen e.g. Zhangmen 2010 for Windows (Windows 7, Vista & XP). This version is very much improved and has been optimized for use under Windows. From now on you'll be able to optimize your acupuncture diagnostics and therapy while using Zhangmen for Windows. Here are some features of Zhangmen for Windows:
Multi Window : You can work with several windows open (for example view indications and locations of points at the same time.
Mouse functions : The system is optimized for Windows so you can use all functions by just clicking your mousebutton
Multi-tasking : You can use Zhangmen together with several other application like your favorite wordprocessor or spreadsheet.
Search Functions : Are very easy to use. You can quickly search for all kinds of different acupuncture items
WHO Nomenclature : The new Zhangmen version uses the standard W.H.O. acupuncture channele and pointnames
Locations : Find point locations (also modern points) and jump from one point to the next or previous. Print them if you want to.
More Data : You now have the possibility of accessing far more knowledge then before in a short times notice
Ease of use : You learn how to use the interface very quickly because 'it's all windows'
Printing : You can print everything you'll find by just pushing a button and store it elsewhere or give it to your patients
Graphics : Zhangmen uses dozens of graphics and over 40 tables. These can all be printed

  • Preferably an Internet connection (best is a Broadband connection but this is not strictly necessary)
